Dried Seaweed
We must remember that Dried Seaweed has to be soaked in water before cooking and that it expands considerably its weight after soaking (see attached document).

When soaking our seaweed, we must use cold water and a pinch of salt. It is also important to leave the seaweed soaking for enough time (see attached document), but not for too much, since it would lose its texture.

When cooking a meal requiring plenty of water, such as stews, soups or others, Dried Seaweed can be incorporated directly into the pan. In this way we save time, as we soak it at the same time we cook it.

The water used to soak seaweed can be used to cook and flavour other dishes.
